Review: Erawan Waterfall

The largest and most beautiful waterfall in the western region, Erawan Waterfall is on the bank of Kwai Yai River in Khao Salop (Erawan) National Park of Thailand. It is about 2,000 metres tall divided into 7 levels. The atmosphere in this always-verdant national park is serene, peaceful and rich with innumerable plant and flower species, perfectly conducive to sight-seeing and relaxation.

Erawan Waterfalls are the focal point of the Erawan National Park. This is an exquisite park, very pretty, and very popular with locals and foreigners alike. The waterfalls are equally exquisite. There are seven tiers of waterfalls, each feeding lovely, freshwater pools that you can swim in. A series of tracks lead you to the various falls across wooden footbridges - quite an experience in their own right!

This park is located 65 km from Kanchanaburi on Highway 3199. Some buses run from Kanchanaburi to the park and back.There are two entrances to the park. On the west, a road comes from Sai Yok National Park.

JERANGKANG WATERFALL:REPORT 25th JULY 2009

WE HAVE TAKING OFF FROM SUBANG BASE AT 6 AM IN THE MORNING,STOP BY AT PASAR BORONG SELAYANG FOR IKAN CENCARU AKA IKAN JEKET AKA IKAN KERONGE,ICE,COKE,SOME VEGE AND OF COZ DAUN PISANG. THEN STOP AT GREENWOOD FOR HEAVY BREAKFAST BEFORE START THE JOURNEY.
WE ARRIVED AT MARAN AT 9.30 AM,AFTER SRI JAYA TOWN WE ENTER JERANGKANG WATERFALL JUNCTION.THERE'S A SIGNBOARD SHOWING 16KM TO REACH THE FALL.STILL REMEMBER THE SIGNBOARD FEW YEARS BACK ARE STILL THE SAME,NO IMPROVEMENT,HUHU. BUT ONCE INSIDE WE REALIZE THAT ALL THE RUBBER TREE HAVE BEEN CUT OFF AND PLANTATION OF NEW TREE ARE STILL IN PROGRESS.
THE ROAD IS NOT THE SAME LIKE BEFORE,MAKES OUR RICKY TEAM LOST A FEW TIMES BUT LUCKY THERE'S A BROTHER AT THE FARM TO SHOW US THE MAIN ROAD TO THE FALL.THE TRACK REALLY DISAPPOINTING FEW OF US BECAUSE WE SAW A PROTON SAGA GET INSIDE AND OF COZ NO FOUR WHEEL KNOB NEEDED,HAHA.
WE ARRIVED AT BASE CAMP SITE AND LUCKY US NO OTHER GROUPS AROUND. WE START TO CLEAN THE PONDOK AND PREPARE LUNCH. TODAY'S MENU ARE BANANA LEAF WRAPPED CENCARU BAKAR WITH AIR ASAM,SOME MIX VEGE AND TELOQ DADAR. GET SOME REST AND IN THE EVENING WE CLIMB UP TO THE FALL,DON'T KNOW WHAT LEVEL COZ AS I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS FALL CONSIST OF 42 LEVEL.HUHU
DA XLARAT NAK TREKKING DA SKANG. AFTER ALL TIRUK AND SOMERSAULT BERPUSING,WE WALKED DOWN AND PREPARE THE DINNER. IT'S BBQ TIME!! THAT NIGHT WE HAVE LAMB AND AYAMAS CHICKEN.BEEN 6 MONTH NOT DOING ALL THIS CAMPING ROUTINE AND WE REALLY REALLY MISS IT SO MUCH.
DA LAME XBORAK RAMAI2,MAIN GITAR SAMBIL LAYAN LAGU ROCK KAPAK DAN KETAWA GURAU SENDA,HUHU SODIH LA PULOK. TOMORROW MORNING WE PACKED UP AND LEAVE JERANGKANG WITH ALL SWEET MEMORIES BACK TO KL.THANKS GUYS!!!!!

IN MEMORIES OF PERTING WATERFALL

Perting fall also known as lata hammer is located on the border of kuala lumpur and bentong. Only takes less than one hour to reach,this waterfall is very scenic with a single high volume of fall and a huge pool..i mean really really huge..the water can be really dangerous during rainy season..from the car park in somebody farm,trekking take about 40 minutes..lots of leech i tell you..easy trail i beleived but 4x4 will help you alot..there is a beach like camp site nearby..accomplish this on 2006..

trip to lubuk kawah..

Assalamualaikum all..

7 feb 2009 we prepared to go to lubuk kawah where we experience 4x4 adventure..
with two vehicle pajero L.O own by Besi, and Cherokee tabor we gather at teratak riverview near tanjung malim..

this adventure just take one day trip as we plan not to camping on the site.. just to mandi manda and experienced the 4x4 trip..

but at the end of the track we get stuck but mud hole where cherokee tabor not ready to climb the wall.. here some pic

the beginning of new era in this group.. 4x4 adventure goes to lata berembun located at raub, pahang.. intermediate course with stock jeep cherokee own by group captain-datuk seri...
